Move It to Lose It Healthy Recipes


Did you know that while you were sleeping last night, your body was in a fasting state? This is an important recovery time for our bodies but it is just as important to “break-the-fast” every morning with a small nutritional meal. Eating first thing in the morning helps jump start your metabolism into a calorie burning machine. Protein is slow to digest so including protein in that vital morning meal will keep you full until it is snack time. Try my protein packed banana pancakes as a fun, healthy twist on a classic favorite. It is a great way to start your morning off right!

Protein Banana Pancakes

Healthy Recipe: Banana Protein Pancakes Ingredients


½ cup oats

½ cup water

½ cup egg whites

1 scoop protein powder

¼ Banana diced





In a small bowl mix all ingredients together. Add more water if consistency is too thick, should pour easily. Heat pan on the stove on med-high heat. Spray with a non stick spray. Place 1/3 of mixture into pan and let cook through until you see small bubbles on the edges then carefully flip on to other side. Should yield 3 small protein packed pancakes. You can substitute the bananas with any fruit you would like and top with a tablespoon of your favorite peanut butter.
