Saturday, December 17, 2011 was the 2011 finale for the La Roootaa mountain biking series. The bike trail was very grueling and challenging and really put the riders to the test because of the numerous curves and all the loose gravel. This event was the 8th in the series and the best of the best riders participated ranging in age from 16 to 60. Celsius was set up right next to the registration table as well as the start/finish line, and many participants drank a can of Celsius before starting the race. There were tons of spectators that came out and the event included a post-race BBQ.
Some quotes from the race:
“I may look old but I’m young at heart and that Celsius is perfect for my action packed active lifestyle.”
“Made the healthy decision to go with a Celsius instead of a beer during the post-race BBQ.”
“Not only does Celsius taste awesome, It can help me keep up with my kids!”
Consisting of 12 races in total, on Sunday, December 18, 2011 marked the final event for the 2011 Trail Run series, which was held once a month throughout the year. Participants of all ages competed in different categories such as the 5K, 10K, and half marathon. 60% of the racers were competing in this event for the first time and none of them were familiar with Celsius.
A quote from the race:
“Best tasting fitness beverage that she has come across.”
The 11th Annual Say No to Drugs race at Universal Studios back lot in Studio City, CA drew a HUGE number of attendees this year. The course ran through the Universal Studios back lot through some of Hollywood’s most famous sets, including the Bates Motel, Whoville and more. Despite the brisk morning, runners were excited to be there whether they were participating in the 5K, 10K, 5K Fun Run, or Kids Fun Run. We also had a few “race regulars” stop by our booth.
