These healthy living tips will help keep you motivated on track. You finally feel like you are in control of eating healthier and working out on a consistent basis. Great! You are starting to see result and putting all the healthy living tips into practice is becoming more “normal”…or so you thought. At the beginning of any fitness and weight loss routine, most people feel motivated to stay on track but after a few days or weeks of being on point with their goals, they begin to lose focus, make excuses and give in to temptations.

So how do you stay energized? What healthy living tips keep you on track? How do you navigate through certain life situations in order to feel fulfilled and in control?

Do Not Be So Hard On Yourself…

healthy_living_tipsHealthy Living Tip- Be Flexible- During your training and daily life, try not to be so hard on yourself. Nothing in life usually goes smoothly, so learn to be flexible. I am not talking about making excuses for yourself or giving in to temptation just because you feel like it but rather, if you are stuck in traffic and cannot make it to your usual strength and conditioning class, all is not lost! Simply train on your own and try something new.

Healthy Living Tip- Make Good Choices- What if you forgot your lunch on the counter (I have been victim to that far too often), if you cannot run home during your lunch break to get your meals, you won’t instantly gain 10 pounds from eating off of what you had planned. This is not permission to get some greasy fast food instead use this healthy living tip- try going to a place and custom order your meal to be close to what you originally had planned. There are healthy options around every corner, so leaving your lunch is no excuse to become the vending machine vixen.

Healthy Living Tip- Crush Cravings- Whenever I am feeling the afternoon slump set in and I start craving something sugary and sweet, I reach for a Celsius to help me stay on track and keep my temptations under control. After a few minutes, my cravings go away and I can get back to my regular routine.
