When trying to make changes in our lives, it can be easy to make excuses and feel sorry for ourselves. Lorena, is no stranger to this situation, having tried diets and weight loss regimens without much success. It wasn’t until she changed her mindset that the true lifestyle changes started to happen. As a working mother of two, Lorena decided that her family would become her reason rather than her excuse. Having found success in her mind and body transformation of losing nearly 50 pounds, she claims she is not done, and is just getting started.

Thank you so much for taking the time to chat with us about your lifestyle transformation! What was going on in your life that made you decide to make a change, and what was your goal at that time to transform your life for the better?
Of course, I am so happy to be able to share and get the word out!
To be honest, I feel like I have been on a diet my entire life- it’s been on and off. Once I had my son I was always tired and just a mess with what I should be eating and how to lose weight. I would sit there wondering how I “let myself go,” but never did anything about it…
I would do easy things like weekly diets, but that’s not enough time or long term. When I had my second child, I was worse and just felt depressed… I really struggled, and then one day it clicked that if I wanted to be a great mom I had to take care of myself. Things like being at the park with my kids, but not being able to keep up was a problem.
That’s when I changed- not all at once, but little by little. I started changing my nutrition and eventually started working out.
As time went on I decided to create an account on Instagram (@loveyourlifestyle__) to hold myself accountable and for motivation. That’s when I came across Celsius from online trainer @GetBodiedByJ, and it truly changed my life… I have been using Celsius for 5 months and I have seen a change in my body, mind and attitude!
Celsius has kept me in the gym longer, not by hours but in my journey because the product works! I enjoy taking something that will give me results… Celsius has given me confidence in my workouts and just an overall great feeling. These last few months I have seen a huge change in the length of my workouts and also the inches I have lost on my body!
That is fantastic and we are thrilled to hear that Celsius gives you the Healthy Energy you need during training. What does your current exercise routine look like?
Currently I work out 5-6 days a week doing a combination or weight training and cardio. I wake up around 6 A.M. and start my day. I get my kids ready for school, drop them off and take Celsius along for the ride. I arrive to the gym around 9 A.M. and usually stay to 11 A.M., and then head off to work.
For many the nutrition aspects can be difficult, what has seemed to work for you during your transformation?
I have done lots of research and follow my own plan which varies depending on my goals. During a typical day, I have my breakfast followed by Celsius 15-20 minutes before training. After my workout I have a protein shake and a snack of almonds and blueberries. I also make sure to drink tons of water throughout the day. I have a light lunch which may be 4 ounces of chicken breast or fish with a salad, then a snack of fresh fruit or yogurt. I try to end each day with a healthy dinner like turkey, soup or chicken and spinach. Nice and simple.
What surprised you / what was different from what you were expecting as you made your way through your weight loss journey?
I was surprised that I stuck with it!!!
The difference this time was that I was doing this for me, not for a party or dress to fit into… I was actually doing it for me and my health.
Having my kids also changed my thought process. I want to be around for them and not have them worry about me and my health.
As a busy working wife and mother, my family is no longer my excuse- they are my reason to get fit and stay healthy.
Now I feel amazing, I have energy, I am not always tired, I can be active all day and I enjoy educating others on healthier choices based on my own experience.
In the past, I was always tired and tired of being tired… It was a lack of healthy food choices, low activity levels and poor sleep patterns.
Don’t get me wrong, I am still a work in progress, but it feels great to see the results!
Lorena’s Tips For Weight Loss Success
- Don’t make it a diet, make it a lifestyle!
- Do what works for YOU- not what you see working for others.
- Hold yourself accountable.
- This is not a quick fix- it is a mental change!
- Surround yourself with people who are on the same journey or have similar goals (to get healthy!).
- Transform your mind to believe in yourself.
- Just do it and forget about all the physical and mental barriers holding you back.
- Don’t worry about what others may be thinking- this is for YOU.
