Blake Koch at Kansas Speedway… With the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) points resetting for the Round of 8, Blake Koch heads to Kansas Speedway tied for first with the other seven Chase contenders. Making his sixth start at the 1.5-mile oval for the Kansas Lottery 300 Saturday, Koch is confident that his No. 11 LeafFilter Gutter Protection™ Chevrolet Camaro will challenge for the top spot during the 200-lap event.
Sounding Off- Blake Koch… “We only race there once a year, but everybody is in the same boat except for the Cup guys. A couple teams have tested there, which is probably a little bit of an advantage. You might see guys fire off real quick in practice, but as a driver, your job is to adjust as fast as possible.
“The good thing about Kansas, there was a repave, but it’s multi-groove now which puts on a good race.”
Chassis Chatter… Kaulig Racing™ will roll out chassis No. 145 from it’s stable of RCR chassis for Saturday’s Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway. This will be the fourth time chassis 145 has raced in 2016. It has a chassis-best qualifying effort of 13th (Chicagoland) and a chassis-best finish of 14th (Charlotte, May).
Previous Race Recap… Starting sixth in the postponed Drive for the Cure 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Koch fought his way to a track-best 12th-place finish and clinched a spot in the next round of the NXS Chase.
