Gerry David, CEO
Mr. David has 40+ years experience in business with a focus on start-up, turn around and fast growth. His first 20 years in business were in the “High Tech” industry with companies such as IBM, Honeywell, Datapoint and GTE.
Mr. David started his first company, a systems integration firm, when he was 26 years old and grew it to offices in six states prior to selling the firm to a public company. The past 20 years Mr. David focused on the consumer product space holding several senior management positions in the manufacturing, direct selling and retail channel spanning 72 countries with such companies as HSN Direct, Vitarich Labs, Cyberwize, Oragenics and Life Science Technologies. Mr. David led the start-up or turnaround of seven companies during his career.
Mr. David was named one of only 25 Gold Winners recognized globally in the prestigious 2016 CEO World Awards. David was selected as “The Leader” in the CEO of the Year category. He was recognized for his crucial role at the helm during the turn around of the rapidly-expanding brand.
John Fieldly, CFO
John Fieldly has served as our Chief Financial Officer since January 2012. Prior to joining Celsius, John was Controller of Oragenics Inc., a publicly traded nutraceutical company from 2010 to 2012. Prior to that, John held financial management positions at Lebhar-Friedman, a leading publisher of business-to-business magazines and periodicals. He holds a B.S degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant in Florida.
John’s favorite fitness activities are swimming, bike riding and playing kickball. He also enjoys spending time with his family, and launching model rockets with his children.
John’s favorite part about working at Celsius is the people and energy. His favorite Celsius flavor is Sparkling Cola.
Vanessa Walker, EVP of Sales and Marketing
Vanessa Walker brings more than 22 years of beverage and retail experience to her position as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Celsius Holdings, Inc. With expertise in both corporate and entrepreneurial environments, Walker has a proven track record of building a strong business infrastructure, while positioning brands to attract consumers and win at retail.
Before joining the Celsius team in early 2016, Walker served as Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing of LaCroix Sparkling Water for National Beverage Corp., specifically creating and executing tactical business plans to revitalize the LaCroix brand. Under Walker’s leadership, LaCroix grew from a small regional brand into a major national brand, ranked number one in dollar share with 26% of the sparkling water segment (according to the Beverage Digest Fact Book, 2015), and sales of over $175m in reporting channels (according to SPINS). As a result, Vanessa was promoted from her original role as Senior Director of Strategic Brand Development, to EVP, Sales and Marketing, an entirely new division formed to support the rapid LaCroix brand growth, which Walker led for eight years, while overseeing all aspects of the brand’s development and success.
Prior to her time at National Beverage Corp., Walker served as Director of Marketing for Big Red, working primarily to re-launch the Red JAK energy drink. Previously, Walker held the position of Vice President, National Accounts for IN ZONE Brands, makers of the then BellyWashers and TummyTicker brands (today: Good2Grow), where she successfully positioned the lines at national retailers, growing sales from $850,000 in 1999 to $90 million by 2003.
Now as Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Celsius, Walker will lead the development and execution of the brand’s corporate strategy, coordinating the efforts of both the Vice President of Sales and the Vice President of Marketing. Walker will report directly to Gerry David, President and Chief Executive Officer of global Celsius Holdings, Inc., (OTCQX: CELH)
Walker earned her undergraduate degree from The Florida State University and received her EMBA in International Business from Mercer University. She is an active member of her local community, sitting on the board of South Florida’s Jack & Jill Children’s Center and acting as Member of the Broward County Chapter of the Pi Beta Phi Alum club, a fraternal organization in which she served as President during her time at FSU. Walker also held the position of Secretary for the former FL Panther Foundation Board (NHL), and currently serves as a member of the leadership committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s South FL & Puerto Rico Chapter.
Robbie Kotkosky, Vice President of National Accounts
Roberta “Robbie” Kotkosky joined Celsius in October 2012 and is currently the VP of Domestic Sales. Prior to this appointment, Robbie enjoyed a +17 year career with The Coca-Cola Company in the capacity of National Sales and Marketing. Prior to joining Coca-Cola, she spent 10 years in sales/marketing/management with Pillsbury and The Morning Star Group.
She is an experienced executive recognized for building strong client and customer relationships while leveraging excellent negotiating skills to achieve brand success.
Robbie grew up in Bay City, MI and has lived in numerous southern cities throughout her career and now calls Charlotte, NC home. She acquired a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management as well as a Bachelor of Business in Marketing from Northwood University in Midland, MI.
She’s is a member of The Network of Executive Women and is also a board member of Fit Life Solutions which supports her view of helping companies help their employees be healthier and more productive. Robbie is happily married to her husband John and enjoys spending time with their four daughters, three grandchildren, as well as her rescue dog Thunder and adopted cats, Bonnie and Clyde. Her favorite hobbies include attending equestrian events, golfing with her husband and interior decorating.
Robbie’s favorite Celsius flavor is Peach Mango.
Michael Hopf, Sr. VP of International Sales
Mike came to Celsius in 2010 with a diverse background in sales and sales management for companies ranging from start-ups to Fortune 500 organizations. Most recently, he was responsible for worldwide sales of consumer products at Oragenics, a publicly traded company with a strong neutraceutical research and development portfolio.
Mike was responsible for introducing the Oragenics oral health product line overseas, as well as managing the Oragenics brand, private label and raw material sales channels in the continental U.S. He also served as Vice President of International Sales at HSN Direct, the Home Shopping Network infomercial division, where he led the sales effort of consumer products in 72 countries.
Mike has a B.S. in History from Xavier University, Cincinnati, Ohio. His favorite fitness activities include racquetball, tennis and cycling. On the weekends, he enjoys attending car shows and takes pride in his 1991 Corvette. Mike enjoys the friendly people, great products and phenomenal opportunity that come along with his job here at Celsius.
His favorite Celsius flavor is Outrageous Orange.
Linda Loren-Gulla, VP of Marketing
For more than two decades Ms. Gulla has been a strategic leader in the area of marketing, branding and consumer engagement. Prior to launching her tenure with Celsius, she was the vice-president of marketing for Genius Central, Inc., a leading provider of technology and marketing solutions serving more than 3,500 retailers and 2.5 million consumers.
She has held executive level marketing and sales roles with such nationally recognized companies as Oragenics Inc., a Florida-based leader in probiotic research and consumer products, Växa International, a leading manufacturer of homeopathic medicines, herbal products, vitamins and supplements; Sykes Enterprises, a global leader in providing customer contact management solutions and services in the business process outsourcing (BPO) arena; and Arthur Anderson, LLC.
As Vice President of Marketing, Linda is responsible for Celsius global corporate brand, corporate communications and integrated marketing. She drives the company’s corporate positioning, branding and identity, marketing campaigns, advertising and social media to ensure strong connections with customers and partners. Gulla is a certified nutritional educator and graduate of Montclair University, NJ where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Consumer Science.
Linda and her husband Mike are passionate supporters of several non-profits including the YMCA, Southeast Guide Dogs and ECHO (that exists to reduce hunger and improve the lives of small-scale farmers worldwide).
Her favorite Celsius flavor is Sparkling Cola.
Randy Smith, VP of Domestic Sales
Randy Smith joined Celsius in 2013 and is currently our VP of Domestic Sales. Originally joining Celsius as the Director of Sales, Randy was quickly promoted to VP of National Accounts. He has over 24 years of sales experience, 17 in the CPG industry to include 9+ years with PepsiCo in the capacity of Business Unit Key Account Manager for Wal-Mart, Target and K-Mart.
No stranger to the energy drink industry, after his stint with PepsiCo, Randy became the Western VP for Crunk Energy Drink where he helped grow Crunk to a national brand with authorization and placements in many nationally known chains across his region. While with Crunk he put together an entire West Coast distributor network where he was responsible for launching new brand extensions to include beer.
A true industry expert, Randy has extensive knowledge of the various beverage categories, positioning and branding along with managing both sales and merchandising teams to help drive favorable results for both national and independent brands.
Randy attended and received his bachelor of Journalism and Communications from Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA, where he met his wife and was inducted into the PPU Sports Hall of Fame for Basketball. Now living in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Randy is close to his parents and happily married to his wife Michelle. The couple has 4 children and 1 grandchild. Randy’s hobbies include cooking, coaching and watching his children play sports, as well as playing basketball and fund raising for the local high school as a booster.
